Service and Warranty
All products manufactured by PMC are guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 2 years after the date of shipment. PMC makes no other warranty, express or implied with respect to its products. Other parts supplied as part of a system carry the warranty of the manufacturer.
PMC does not assume any liability for improper use or installation of its products, or of consequential damage as a result of using its products.
In the event of any defects in materials or workmanship, PMC will at its sole discretion repair or replace the defective product within the warranty period without charge. Any defect in materials or workmanship determined by PMC to be caused by customer alteration, negligence, carelessness or misuse is not covered by this warranty.
Obtaining an RMA number
Warranty service and repair is performed at PMC's factory in Carlsbad, California. To return any product for evaluation and possible repair or replacement, you must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and shipping instructions using our online RMA Request Form . Note: You will need to provide the model number, serial number and a concise description of the problem for each product to be returned.
It is PMC's policy to provide customers with an RMA number and shipping instructions the same day that we receive an RMA request.
Evaluation and recommended action report
It is PMC's policy to provide customers with an Evaluation & Recommended Action Report within 3 business days of the date we receive a product with a valid RMA number.
Testing, repair and/or replacement of products within the warranty period
If PMC determines that the the failure was caused by a defect in materials or workmanship, it is PMC's policy to make all necessary repairs and/or replace the product no later than one week after the date we receive your product.
If PMC determines that the failure was NOT was caused by a defect in materials or workmanship, it is PMC's policy to provide our customers, within 3 days of the date we receive the product, a price quote for the estimated repair charges and the estimated turnaround time to perform the repair, or a notification that the product is either not repairable or we could find no problem with it. PMC will begin repairs only after receiving a formal Purchase Order or Requisition for the repairs, and PMC will complete the repairs within the quoted turaround time, starting from from the date we receive the order, provided that all required payment terms have been satisfied.
Testing or repair of products whose warranty period has expired
When we issue an RMA number, we will notify you if any of the products on your RMA are out of warranty. A minimum service deposit of $200 or greater - depending on the type and quantity of products being returned - will apply to any RMA which includes one or more products that are out of warranty. This deposit is non-refundable and payable in advance.
PMC will provide you within 3 days of the date we receive your returned product(s) and deposit fee, a price quote for the total estimated charges (if they exceed the minimum service charge) and the estimated turnaround time to perform the repairs, or a notification that the product is either not repairable or we could find no problem with it. PMC will begin the evaluation and repair process only after receiving a formal Purchase Order for any additional repair charges, and PMC will complete the repairs within the quoted turaround time, starting from from the date we receive the order, provided that all required payment terms have been satisfied.
